To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what evidence he has that payment on tax through self-assessment is likely to improve the tax collection rate. [15290]

Tax collection should be streamlined by moving to a current year basis of assessment and through self-assessment by largely removing the lengthy process of estimated assessments and appeals.
