HC Deb 30 March 1995 vol 257 c718W
13. Mr. Bayley

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement about the Untied Kingdom's balance of trade and its effect on the economy. [15287]

Mr. Aitken

Our balance of payments figures show a current account surplus of £2 billion in the last six months. Exports are growing by 13 per cent. These excellent results have contributed to the UK's gross domestic product growth of around 4 per cent.
