Mr. Roger Evans

The production, distribution and associated costs of the Benefits Agency 1995–96 business plan is a matter for Mr. Ian Magee, the acting chief executive of the Benefits Agency. He will write to the hon. Member.

Letter from Ian Magee to Ms Dawn Primarolo, dated 24 April 1995: The Secretary of State for Social Security has asked me to reply to your recent Parliamentary Question about the production and distribution costs of the Benefits Agency (BA) 1995–96 Business Plan. The design, printing and distribution costs of the Business Plan totalled £14,775 for the production of 15,000 copies. The Business Plan is distributed to Ministers, the Permanent Secretary, Opposition Spokespersons, Members of Parliament, the Social Security Advisory Committee, National Audit Office and Her Majesty's Treasury. It is also distributed externally to Local Authority Housing Benefits Departments and to BA Customer Organisations. There is also an internal distribution to managers in the Department of Social Security and the BA. Copies of the Business Plan are available in the House of Commons Library and can be freely obtained from the Agency by members of the public upon request.
