§ Mr. ForthMany educational institutions offer programmes through distance learning and it is not possible to list them individually. Opportunities to study by both open and distance learning are increasing rapidly and particularly in the further and higher education sectors. The Department is funding a number of pilot projects in the use of new technologies including their use in distance learning.
