To aks the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish the key performance targets he has set for Historic Scotland for 1995–96. [19122]

I have set Historic Scotland the following key performance targets for 1995–96:

1 1987 to 1990 information is for all courses of treatment for adults and children.
2 1991–92 onwards information is for all courses of treatment for adults and for courses of treatment for children where an item-of-service fee was paid. Since October 1990 most treatment for children has been provided under capitation arrangements and is not counted as individual courses of treatment.

1 A measure to show the percentage reduction in the conservation backlog will be developed for 1997–98, following the quinquennial survey of the estate in care in 1996.
