How many Health and Safety Executive inspectors responsible for enforcing Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations on farms and holdings in England and Wales there were in 1979, 1984 and 1989, and how many there are at present.

The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1988 came into force on 1 October 1989. The regulations are generally enforced at farms and other agricultural premises by agricultural inspectors of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

The numbers of agricultural inspectors in HSE Areas in England and Wales for the years requested were:
