How many successful prosecutions there have been in the last five years of fanners or agricultural contractors who have misused hazardous pesticides.

The available information on prosecutions taken under relevant health and safety legislation during the financial years 1988–89 to 1992– 93 is given in the following table. Figures relate to prosecution action taken against employers and others in the agricultural industry as defined by the Standard Industrial Classification. Farmers and agricultural contractors cannot be separately identified.
