When the research of the Sexual Offenders Treatment Evaluation Project, which is funded by the Home Office, will be published.

Responsibility for the subject of this Question has been delegated to the Prison Service and its Director General, Mr. Derek Lewis. The Director General has therefore responded to the Question and the letter is given below.

Letter to Baroness Faithfull from the Director General of the Prison Service, Mr. Derek Lewis:

Lord Ferrers has asked me to reply to your recent Question to Her Majesty's Government about the publication date of the report of the evaluation of the sex offender treatment programme.

The research should be finished in June 1996 and a report will be published shortly thereafter.
