asked Her Majesty's Government:

Further to their reply of 18th May (H.L. Deb, col. WA 11), what organisations are responsible for health and medical care at HMP The Wolds and other contracted-out prisons; and whether they are satisfied with the quality and continuity of the services provided.

Earl Ferrers

Group 4 has a contract with Forensic Medical Services—formerly AMI—to provide medical services at HMP Wolds. At HMP Blakenhurst, UK Detention Services has a contract with the Royal Worcester Hospital to ensure that health and medical care are provided.

The Government are satisfied that both Group 4 and UK Detention Services have by these means properly discharged their contractual obligation to provide satisfactory medical care to the prisoners.
