HL Deb 15 July 1994 vol 556 cc119-20WA
Lord Gainford

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What was the outcome of the proposed Pennine Bridleway.

The Earl of Arran

My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for the Environment has today signified that he is minded to approve the Countryside Commission's report in respect of the Pennine Bridleway, with modifications to the route as submitted by the Commission. Further consultation will now take place with the local authorities through whose areas the route passes to confirm their agreement to the modifications put forward.
