To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many criminal offences were recorded by the police in Lewisham in(a) 1985 and (b) 1992; and how many in each case resulted in a conviction.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department for each year since 1985 how many(a) rapes, (b) burglaries in dwellings, (c) thefts from vehicles and (d) incidents of domestic violence were recorded by the police in Lewisham; and how many of these resulted in a conviction.

The available information relates to notifiable offences recorded by the police and is, given in the table. It is not possible to link recorded crime statistics with convictions, as the information collected on convictions is compiled on a different basis.
