§ The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Chalker of Wallasey)We understand the UN Special Commission (UNSCOM) is seeking evidence on allegations that Iraqi forces have used chemical weapons on the Marsh Arabs. It is not yet clear whether an inspection visit to the southern marshes of Iraq will be mounted. We are prepared to support UNSCOM if they decide to send a mission.
