§ Mr. ForthMy right hon. Friend has asked Sir Ron Dearing to conduct a wide-ranging review of the manageability of the national curriculum and the associated testing and assessment framework. The review will consider the need for slimming down the curriculum and for simplifying the testing arrangements. The aim is that early results from the review will inform the testing arrangements in 1994.
