§ Mr. RichardsTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what proposals he has for changes to the cash limits for his Department in the current financial year.
§ Mr. David HuntThe cash limits for Welsh Office/local authority capital will be reduced by £11,528,000 from £449,172,000 to £437,644,000 and the cash limit for Welsh Office/Housing for Wales will be increased by £11,326,000 from £156,469,000 to £167,795,000.
These changes largely reflect a transfer of £11,326,000 from local authorities to Housing for Wales which will enable housing associations to provide additional housing units.
The cash limit for WO/LACAP will also be reduced by £202,000 in respect of the transfer of unallocated fire service supplementary credit approvals to the Home Office—HO/LACAP—to facilitate the replacement of fire service mobilisation and communications systems. A corresponding increase will be made to the HO/LACAP cash limit.
