To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether funds brought into the United Kingdom and used for day-to-day expenditure of political parties are subject to tax.

Remittances of income from overseas by a resident of the United Kingdom are subject to tax. In general, remittances of capital are not subject to tax.
