To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many firms in the east midlands have been found to be paying below minimum rates set by wages councils in each of the last 10 years; and what is the amount of money calculated to be owed to employees in each of these years.

Following the merger of the east and west midlands in 1986 to form the midlands division of the wages inspectorate, separate records for the east midlands were no longer kept. The available information is provided in the tables.
