§ Mr. RedwoodThe farm business survey is a sample survey of only those farms which are considered to be full-time commercial businesses and excludes very small farms. The average size of cattle and sheep farms in Wales, wholly or mainly in less-favoured areas, as recorded in the farm business survey for 1992–93 is 125 hectares. The equivalent information at county level is not available. The June agricultural census covers all main holdings and the average size of cattle and sheep farms, wholly or mainly in less-favoured areas, according to the census of June 1992, is shown in the following table:
