HC Deb 10 December 1993 vol 234 c403W
Mr. Bernie Grant

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what stage he has reached in resolving the dispute between Anguilla and Her Majesty's Government regarding sovereignty, internal affairs, building of prisons and other matters; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

There is no such dispute over sovereignty between Anguilla and Her Majesty's Government. We concluded a country policy plan with the Government of Anguilla in August 1993. The plan provides for a capital aid programme of £10.5 million over the next four years, including a new structure to replace the dilapidated prison.
