HC Deb 02 December 1993 vol 233 c681W
Mr. Menzies Campbell

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when additional cold weather personal equipment was sent to British forces in the former Yugoslavia; when the stores were received at Split; how many truck loads they represent; what prioritisation for this equipment was sought by BRITFOR HQ; when the equipment will be delivered to personnel in central Bosnia; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Hanley

Additional cold weather clothing was issued from the United Kingdom on 29 October and 1 November. It arrived in Croatia on 5 November and was cleared by Croatian customs on 8 November. The clothing consignment consisted of three 20 ft containers and was accorded due priority by BRITFOR HQ, consistent with other operational requirements at the time. The equipment was delivered to central Bosnia on 27 November.
