HC Deb 02 December 1993 vol 233 c681W
Mr. Davidson

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence why there is a discrepancy between his answer of 3 November,Official Report, columns 291-92, on the date unrestricted access to the Department's archives in the Public Records Office in Hayes will be possible and the reply sent to the hon. Member for Glasgow, Govan (Mr. Davidson) by the Benefits Agency war pensions directorate based on information from the war pension disablement liaison officer to his Department; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Hanley

While the date for unrestricted access to the whole of the Hayes archive was correctly stated by the War Pensions Directorate as February, now slipped to March 1994, priority is being given to the section holding service documents to which full access will be possible in December.
