§ Mr. AtkinsThe Department is spending £3.064 million on the "Making Londonderry Work" campaign in the 1993–94 financial year. This involves an intensified town centre development programme to restore the built environment, a community action programme to improve the social, economic and environmental conditions of people in the most disadvantaged areas of the city and a promotional strategy emphasising the more positive aspects of life in Londonderry. By the end of March 1994, a total of almost £15 million will have been spent on this initiative.
