To ask the President of the Board of Trade what action he is taking to promote the export of British textiles and clothing.

Mr. Needham

My Department, jointly with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, provides a wide range of export advice and support which is available to all sectors of United Kingdom industry. I am pleased to say that the clothing and textile industry are major users of our export services.
