§ Mr. Charles WardleThere are no formal liaison arrangements between the United Kingdom and the Schengen states, although the Schengen presidency has on occasion briefed British officials on developments in implementing the Schengen convention. There are, however, frequent contacts between United Kingdom Ministers and officials and their counterparts in the Schengen states, both bilaterally and in the course of discussions among the Twelve.
