§ Sir Hector Monro[holding answer 27 November 1992]: Between 1 January 1992 and 31 October 1992 there were 29 confirmed reports of decapitated seals. Only three of these have occurred since July. Police investigations 24W included joint surveillance with the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. There have been no prosecutions to date.
