§ Sir Hector Monro[holding answer 27 November 1992]: Information services for environmental education are supported by the Scottish Office in a number of ways; the Scottish Office provides information directly; funding support is given to non-departmental public bodies with an environmental education remit; and grant aid is provided to voluntary environmental organisations. Specific funding for information services is not separately identified.
A working group on environmental education has been established by the Secretary of State, and it has considered the provision of information services for environmental education. The working group is due to report shortly and my right hon. Friend will carefully consider its recommendations.
