§ Mr. McLoughlinI am pleased to record that a number of national vocational qualifications applicable to road haulage have been submitted to the National Council for Vocational Qualifications for accreditation. Therefore they are likely to become available early in 1993. The Road Haulage Industry Training Standards Council, the lead body, is in the final stage of producing a comprehensive plan to promote the use, uptake and recognition of these qualifications in all sectors of its industry.
