§ Mr. Allan Stewart[holding answer 12 February 1992]: There is no precise equivalent in Scotland to the ethnic minority grants available through training and enterprise councils in England and Wales; but local enterprise companies have a broader range of powers than training and enterprise councils, which enables them to assist members of ethnic minorities in a variety of ways.
