To ask the Secretary of State for Health what assessment he has made of the financial viability of Manchester Central Hospitals and Community Care NHS Trust in Manchester.

Mr. Dorrell

The Manchester Central Hospitals and Community Care NHS trust was financially viable when my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State established it last year and continues to be so.
