To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list the help given by the Greek Government during the Gulf war.

Mr. Garel-Jones

From the early stages of the crisis, the Greek Government supported the United Nations Security Council resolutions. A frigate, the Limnos, was sent to the Red sea to help with the naval blockade of Iraq. In addition, Greece contributed United States $10 million to EC economic and humanitarian assistance for Egypt, Jordan and Turkey.
