§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe are keen to assist economic reform in the Baltic states. The British Council is increasing its activities in the three Republics, and has recently established new scholarships for Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The Baltic states will also become eligible for know-how fund assistance when the fund begins disbursing in April. We are willing to consider new ideas for aid as they arise.
