HC Deb 28 March 1991 vol 188 c513W
Ms. Mowlam

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what consideration the Bank of England banking supervision department has given to Chancery plc's last submissions on capital adequacy; and what decisions it has reached.

Mr. Maples

That is a matter for the Bank of England, but the confidentiality restrictions of part V of the Banking Act 1987 would prohibit the bank from disclosing any such information about an individual institution.
