§ Mr. YeoSince 1980, Walsall metropolitan borough council has applied twice to the Secretary of State for his consent under section 123(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 to dispose of land at less than the best consideration that can reasonably be obtained. Both applications were in 1985: one was withdrawn; and, in the second case, consent was granted for disposal of land for a community centre.
