§ Mr. YeoA consultation paper on proposals for the revision of the requirements and guidance relating to part M of the Building (Access for Disabled People) Regulations 1985 was issued last October. It included a proposal that, in new public buildings, permanent aids to hearing such as the loop system should be incorporated in auditoriums and conference rooms in excess of 100 sq m in area. Responses to the consultation paper are currently being considered.
