§ Mr. MaudeFollowing elections in northern Cyprus on 22 April and 6 May, we understand that United Nations officials will shortly hold consultations with the leaders of the two communities. Their aim, which we fully support, will be to promote a resumption of the intercommunal talks on the basis of Security Council resolution 649.
