To ask the Secretary of State for Energy when the projections in Energy Paper 55 will be next updated.

The projections for the long-term contributions to energy supply from different renewables contained in Energy Paper 55 are kept under review. As the results from our renewable energy research programme become available they are fed into the regular reviews of the individual technologies that are undertaken. Since the publication of Energy Paper 55 our research has indicated that these published projections are still broadly appropriate given the uncertainty attached to such projections.
