HC Deb 23 October 1989 vol 158 c295W
Mr. Foulkes

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what information he has about the operation of the investors compensation scheme to date, as to how many failures it has dealt with and as to what the current situation is in each; and if he will make a statement on the speed and fairness of the compensation paid or offered to date.

Mr. Redwood

To date the Investors Compensation Scheme Ltd. has made payments amounting to £2.049 million to investors in five companies. Questions relating to the operation of the scheme are a matter for the scheme itself and the Securities and Investments Board.
