To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what percentage of imports into the European Economic Community comprised products and goods imported from the German Democratic Republic in the latest available year.

In 1988, 1.2 per cent. of EC imports, disregarding trade within the Community, were from the German Democratic Republic.
