§ Mr. MellorThe attention of the Department has been drawn to a number of alleged matters of serious concern in community homes in the London borough of Greenwich. The social services inspectorate has discussed these issues with senior officers of the council and has been assured that all allegations are thoroughly investigated by the authority. The inspectorate also discussed the action being taken following its report on the management review of residential child care in the borough in 1987 and will continue to monitor the situation.
