To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the level of funding for services for handicapped children in the Province.

Mr. Needham

Services for handicapped children are provided by a wide range of Government Departments and statutory and voluntary agencies. It is not possible to identify separately the total expenditure committed to meeting the needs of these children.
