§ Mr. WaldegraveBritish Ministers and officials take advantage of every appropriate opportunity to urge all non-members (including France and China) of the non-proliferation treaty to accede, and will continue to do so. We attach great importance to securing the widest possible adherence to this treaty.
§ Mr. FlynnTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if the date and venue for the fourth review conference of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, scheduled for 1990, have yet been set.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThe 1990 non-proliferation treaty review conference will probably take place in Geneva during August/September 1990. The precise dates and venue will be discussed and confirmed with other state parties at the first preparatory committee in New York on 1–5 May.
