HC Deb 20 February 1989 vol 147 cc468-9W
Mr. Robertson

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations on Iraqi use of chemical weapons the Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the hon. Member for Bristol, West (Mr. Waldegrave) made to the Government of Iraq on his recent visit to that country; and what was the response.

Mr. Waldegrave

I repeated to the Iraqi Foreign Minister the serious view we take of use of chemical weapons and the great importance we continue to attach to repeated Iraqi undertakings not to make further use of these weapons.
