To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will visit Sandycroft C P school to meet the staff and parents to discuss plans to rebuild the infants' department; and if he will make a statement.

No. This is a matter for the local education authority which is responsible for the provision and maintenance of its school buildings.

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a special allocation of cash to Clwyd local education authority to enable the burnt down infants' department of Sandycroft C P school to be rebuilt in the current financial year; and if he will make a statement.

No. Capital allocations for 1988–89 have been made to Clwyd county council relating to all the services for which it is responsible, including educational building. It is for the local education authority to determine which school building project will proceed in the current financial year.

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will meet members of the Clwyd county council, Alyn and Deeside council and Queensferry community council concerning the need to rebuild the burnt down infants' department of Sandycroft CP school; if he will also meet the parent teachers association and the school governors; and if he will make a statement.
