HC Deb 25 October 1988 vol 139 c119W
Mr. Barry Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales (1) what moneys he gives to the Partially Sighted Society; if he will give a special ad hoc grant to the Partially Sighted Society; and if he will make a statement;

(2) if he will meet the Partially Sighted Society to discuss their future plans; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Grist

Welsh Office officials would be pleased to met representatives of the Partially Sighted Society if their plans relate to all-Wales activities. The society has already been advised to contact local statutory organisations for support for local initiatives. The society's national headquarters are in England and receive Government aid towards administration costs to which my Department does not contribute.
