§ Mr. CopeOf the 16 and 17-year-olds who left school in Nottingham this year, it is estimated that 6,720 have accepted a YTS place and about 2,370 have got a job. Information on the number who have not gained a YTS place or a job and receive no income is not available. Child benefit is being paid to the parents of those young people who left school this summer and who have applied for a YTS place but have not yet been placed.
