To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what proportion of each distribution company's purchases of power he will require to be supplied from non-fossil fuel sources after privatisation.

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy when he now expects to announce the details of the Government's proposals to privatise the electricity supply industry.

The Government intend to introduce legislation at the earliest opportunity.

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy when he next intends to meet the chairman of the Central Electricity Generating Board to discuss the privatisation of the electricity supply industry.
