§ Mr. Tony BanksTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will state the criteria adopted by his Department in selecting each of the housing action trusts so far designated.
§ Mr. TrippierNo housing action trusts have yet been designated. My hon. Friend the then Minister for Housing and Planning announced on 11 July proposals to set up housing action trusts in six areas. Among the matters to which the Secretary of State may have regard in deciding whether to include a particular area of land in an order designating a housing action trust area are those listed in clause 60 of the Housing Bill.
§ Mr. Tony BanksTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish in the Official Report the amounts spent on maintenance and refurbishment by the local authorities in each of the estates designated a housing action trust in each of the past three years.
§ Mr. TrippierI refer the hon. Member to my answer of today to his earlier question. It is for local authorities to publish information about individual estates.
