§ Mr. ButlerTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the level of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in London's drinking water.
§ Mr. MoynihanWe are aware that drinking water samples taken within the London area have occasionally730W exceeded the standard set for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in the EC drinking water directive. Thames water is investigating. Our medical advisers consider that there is unlikely to be any significant health risk from drinking water which occasionaly exceeds the standards.
