HL Deb 16 May 1988 vol 497 c176WA
Lord Renton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What weight of waste paper was recovered from the Palace of Westminster during the last period of 12 months for which figures are available, and what sum of money was paid to public funds for it.

The Minister of State, Department of the Environment (The Earl of Caithness)

No record of the amount of waste paper is kept by the Parliamentary Works Office. Removal of the waste paper is carried out under a contract arranged by HMSO at no cost to public funds.
