HL Deb 16 May 1988 vol 497 cc175-6WA
Lord Monkswell

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the attacks on British servicemen in the Netherlands on 1st May 1988 are being treated as criminal acts and whether the perpetrators of these crimes will be brought to justice.

Lord Trefgarne

The Netherlands Prime Minister, in his message on 2nd May to my right honourable friend the Prime Minister, assured her that the Netherlands Government would do all it could to track down the culprits and bring them to justice. British authorities are in close touch with the Netherlands authorities and members of the Metropolitan Police are assisting the Netherlands police at the latter's request.
