HL Deb 16 May 1988 vol 497 c176WA
Baroness Jeger

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What action they are taking following the criticisms of the National Audit Office in its report DHSS: Quality of Service to the Public at Local Offices.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health and Social Security (Lord Skelmersdale)

The report is made by the Comptroller and Auditor General to the House of Commons. The Government's response will be conveyed by Treasury minute in the usual way when the Committee of Public Accounts has considered the report, examined the appropriate Accounting Officer, and issued its own report to the House of Commons.
